Area Accommodations List
Goldthread Organic Herb Farm is nestled in the hills of Conway, Massachusetts. We do not have overnight accommodations on the farm, so we have put together the following list of local options for those students traveling from afar.
HOME STAY
A few neighbors have opened their homes to our students in the past. This is a convenient and good value option for being within walking distance to the farm.
Wilder Hill Gardens
Lilian Jackman is the lady of the manor at this gorgeous and peaceful farm. She has two rooms inside the main house, each with a twin bed. She also has a small cabin with a big deck on offer, which has a double bed.
She asks $50/per night which includes breakfast and will also serve dinner with the addition of a modest fee.
She requires a 50% deposit to secure the reservation.

Rick Bean’s Home
** Just next door to the farm.
Rick is a wonderful neighbor and is able to host one Farm to Pharmacay student. He has a room with a queen bed, shared bath and separate walk out area available for $50/night. This includes breakfast, and guests are able to use his fridge and kitchen etc. For meals he typically plays it by ear, and has said that usually everyone just winds up eating together!

Ushi's Home
A few doors down from the farm is Ushi's house. She has offered a generous space with one twin bed and one couch (Ideal for friends traveling together), a private bathroom, separate entrance, deck and kitchen area - making it easy to eat well!
She asks $150 a night for two people and $100 a night if you're flying solo.

HOTELS
There are several area Inns and B&Bs that are also nice options. We’ve included websites where possible, so you can further research these options.
The Inn at Norton Hill
Great Historic Inn in the town of Ashfield (about 10 minutes from the Farm). This is one of our favorites. Room rates include full Elmer’s Breakfast (a legend in these parts).
2 Rooms with en-suite baths run $150/night

Dancing Bear Guesthouse
Located right in the town of Shelburne Falls. It’s a lovely village to stroll around, with restaurants and a few beautiful natural attractions to enjoy.
The town is about 10 minutes away from the farm.
May - Sep: $129/night/room
Breakfast is at 8:30 Mon-Sat, and 9:00 on Sundays unless other arrangements are made with host.
